4 years living in a mall


The slogan of the Providence Place Mall in Rhode Island said "it would be nice to live in our mall."


Michael Townsend decided to try this experience, and so began to build in an old warehouse in the mall a real house, with a bedroom, kitchen and living room.
The entrance was by a secondary parking lot of the mall and it was hidden, so that Michael could walk undisturbed inside.
His desire to grow and build a second bedroom betrayed him.
He has been discovered by security guards who have reported to the police for illegal occupation of their property.
Michael Townsend justified himself, claiming to be an artist, and that his action was in reality a sort of contemporary art installation.
